“…But he that filches from me my good name

Robs me of that which not enriches him

And leaves me poor indeed. “

William Shakespeare. Othello

Following the “final decision” (ha, ha!) as announced by the Minister of Arts & Culture on 2.10.18, the issue of the renaming of Grahamstown is going to court and we are on very strong grounds: the process, the gazetting of a defective Notice, the handling of objections and the furnishing of inadequate reasons was all unlawful and the law must prevail!

Our court application is supported by other local interested parties and we have a very strong legal team who are not charging us fees but they do need to be covered for disbursements and other incidental expenses.

Please, if you see your way clear, your donation towards our legal costs will be much appreciated.  Every R1,00 counts and will be valued.

The money collected will be held in Trust and we will fully account for every cent and reimburse what has not been utilised or out of costs recovered from the other side.

The bank account details are:

Wheeldon, Rushmere & Cole Trust Account
Absa Bank, Grahamstown Branch
A/c No:   4049593189
Branch Code: 420517

Please mark your donation “KGG”.

Thanks for your continued interest in this important matter and please encourage others to support our appeal.

With very best wishes,

Sigidla Ndumo & Jock McConnachie, KGG.
